Professor of Biostatistics
Marc Aerts is Professor of Biostatistics and Director of the Center for Statistics at Hasselt University in Belgium. He published methodological work on mathematical and statistical models for infectious diseases, microbial risk assessment and food safety, dose response modeling, toxicological and teratology experiments, non and semi-parametric methods in estimation, bootstrap inference, missing data, model selection and goodness-of-fit. He serves as Associate Editor for Biometrics and Statistical Modeling. He is chairman of the Master of Statistics program, and teaches courses on modeling infectious diseases, computer intensive methods, data mining, categorical data modeling, and microbial risk assessment.
