Professor at the Department of Statistics and Operations Research of the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC) and member of the Interdisciplinary Centre of Biostatistics at the University of Santiago de Compostela (ICBUSC).
She has a long and extensive teaching career and has taught courses at several official academic degrees (Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate).
She has also been involved in several activities of dissemination and transfer of statistical knowledge (courses, seminars, etc.) in biomedical institutions and the Galician Administration.
Furthermore, she has collaborated in research in various fields of Biology, Medicine and Society. It is noteworthy to mention her collaboration with the Department of Genetics at USC in studying measures of association.
She is also member of the Interdisciplinary Research Group in Statistics, Computation, Medicine and Biology (GRIDECMB) of the USC.
Her scientific medium-term objective is the study and application of mathematical models to help uncover risk factors in various diseases.
